Marathon Community Theater (MCT) volunteers will run a beverage and snack concession stand during the day. Bottled water, sodas, beer, wine and brownies for sale – writer-on-deadline nutrition.
MCT is located within easy walking distance of several lunch spots, including: θ Island Time Diner (burgers, fries, ice cream) θ Marathon Liquor and Deli (Boar’s Head sandwiches, wraps, subs) θ Papa John’s Pizza θ Cracked Conch Cafe (Keys seafood, sandwiches, breakfast, entrees)
Parking is free but wear comfortable shoes. You may have to park in areas a block or so away from the MCT building.
MCT shares a parking lot with a veterinary hospital and the Marathon Cinema (a one-screen theater with a matinee showing that day).
Conference parking in front of the MCT building will be limited but there are overflow spaces in an adjoining shopping center. Please respect business traffic in the center and choose spaces that do not front businesses. We’re a small community
and we respect our local businesses.

This theater organization has produced, nurtured and maintained community theater in the Middle Keys for more than 60 years.
MCT hosts Marathon’s only movie theater, runs dance classes, presents children’s summer theater and offers a full range of stage performances each season – musicals, drama and readings.
In Hurricane Irma, MCT facilities suffered extensive damage to the roof, ceilings, AC system, costume stock, set pieces and flooring. MCT volunteers came together to rebuild.
This long-running not-for-profit organization is an example of the vital role of dramatic arts in the creative life of a small community. See marathontheater.org.
